what used to be SUSE RPMs for the masses

Welcome to my website.

I used to maintain several hundreds of RPM packages for openSUSE Linux on this website, but decided to move them elsewhere, for several reasons:

consolidation: less repositories to add means less hassle for users
reduction of duplicate packages because of dependencies
avoids the cross-repository dependency (in order to use some of my packages you had to add the Packman repository anyway
the openSUSE Build Service and the build server we developed for Packman provide a more comfortable build infrastructure than the custom scripts I used for my own repository

Hence, I decided some time ago to move part of my packages to Packman (multimedia, games, ...) and the other part to the openSUSE Build Service (network and system related applications, ...).

Note that I did not delete my repository, and that all the packages I built there are still available, but they won't be updated any more -- not in my repository, that is. Most notably, builds for openSUSE 10.3 and above are elsewhere.

And just to clarify: I didn't stop building packages, I just maintain them elsewhere :)
